  • It is expensive to eat out every night.
  • You can drink the water straight from the tap. Iceland has the cleanest water.
  • Alcohol and scouting don’t mix. The legal drinking age in Iceland is 20 years. You have to buy it in special stores. The Icelandic scout association forbids all drinking in scouting.
  • You can’t put up a tent everywhere, you have to find a campsite or ask the owners of the property if you can camp.
